If any of you within striking distance of Oxford are at a loose end on Sunday (3rd December) the Oxford Folk Festival will be hosting a Carol Concert at the Oxford Castle site.Magpie Lane will be singing traditional Christmas songs and carols at 4.00pm, with a lantern lit procession up the Castle mound at 4.30pm (lanterns courtesy of Fi and Vikki), and there will be Morris dancing before and after. Its free so do come along.Mince pies and mulledwine will beon salefromthe Castle heritage centre 'Oxford Unlocked'. It will be followed by a concert by the York Waits at the Holywell Room at 7.30pm. Ha! No, don't worry I'm not honest!


I'm going to be at some of the Oxford folk festival pre-events as well has the weekend itself (providing I can get tickets that is) so its quite likely our paths will cross at some point!
