$%*'`[Frustrated]%*'`@ OK, no problem. 11 November I'll be at the Junction, Cambridge. So far so good. Problem starts here. Room 1 Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. Room 2 Spiers and Boden. For those who know, SJ is the US version of Bellowhead (Full set of horns etc). OK, no problem. I'll buy two tickets and alternate between rooms. No, I'll buy 2 tickets and stand in the corridor. No, I'll persuade J&J to be the support act for SJ (best solution and they get to see SJ as well!!). Alternatively I could go with the wife to Hitchin Folk club. Please help me I can't make these important decisions in life.

As a PA I sort out the confused and frustrated on a regular basis, so for my professional opinion may I suggest you see the SJ's at the Junction and S&B at Hitchen with 'the' wife (bless you!) Alternatively, you could take a trip to London on the 9th Nov to see the SJs and then you would be free to see S&B at the Junction. Hope this helps. Reply to : Frustrated [Anonymous]

Or ..... hyjack the Tardis and time travel. That's what I'd do, so long as the last Dalek isn't in SJ's band.

Thanks for that anon, it's not yet on the Junction website. I shall be attempting to book my tickets tomorrow!

Hmmm, so I'm not the only person with that problem. Cleverly, I've managed to buy tickets for both of the Cambridge Junction gigs on 11th November. Ho hum.
Now there's no way I'm going to miss S&B. I'm working on the possibility that they might finish a little earlier than Southside Johnny -- and then a quick dash across the piazza from Junction 2 to Junction 1 to catch the end? This may or may not work...

Well that's what Mark, our sound engineer was planning on doing!
I never realised there'd be this kind of crossover - but there you go. Maybe I should investigate further and we could do their set!

Ah, so maybe it would work after all! A bit of set swapping might make for an even more interesting night...
We'll be there in Junction 2. We may or may not make it to Junction 1 for Southside Johnny afterwards.

So, as I started this little discussion back in April I think I should appraise you of my circumstances in this difficult decision. Having seen Bellowhead 4 times this summer, including front centre at Shepherd's Bush together with "the wife" and her friends I'm desperate for more S&B and "big band.". So that doesn't help on 11 Nov at Cambridge as I need to see both. Was all set to walk half a mile from my house to see S&B at Hitchin Folk Club tomorrow night before a hospital visit put paid to that. However, the remainder of the S. Bush front row will be there (probably in the front row again!). Please play rambling sailor for Pat, Leslie and Olwyn.
I'll now try and get to Peterborough. Have booked Cheltenham Folk Festival already for S&B (and others!).
So back to the original problem. Still can't work out what to do as I must see both Southside Johnny and S&B. Personally I think that J&J should have a word with Mr Lyon (Southside that is) and get up on stage with him. Shouldn't be a problem as he is very laid back and you have a certain amount of experience in front of a 10 or 11 man band.
Anyway, enjoy Hitchin tomorrow, and if you ask Keiron to turn the speakers up I should be able to hear you.

Well, only a couple of days to go till the Cambridge gig on 11th November.
Hope you sorted it out, thread starter. We'll definitely be in Junction 2 for J&J. There's a chance I may wander across the windswept wastes of the piazza for the end of Southside Johnny too. Junction 2 is a lovely tiny new venue. Unfortunately the beer is rubbish. But apart from that, I'm excited already.

So you're all there having fun at this very moment - I'm jealous! Trusting it's good, and that you all managed to see some of Southside Johnny too
