Over in another place (ahem,www.talkawhile.co.uk) we are conducting our annual vote for theHancock Awards.The Hancocks are namedin honour of our dear departed friend Carey Hancock andare otherwise known as the Not The Radio 2 Folk Awards. You may spot the similarity... There are awards for several categories including Best Band, Best Duo andMusician of the Year.As with the R2 awards, thenomineesare all folk-related. However, unlike the R2 awards,allwinners are decided by votes from Talkawhile members and the rather marvelous trophies are presented at concerts rather than a closed awards ceremony so that fans can enjoy the prize awards too.So, if you're a member of Talkawhile please drop by and cast your vote.
