Yes, OK. But I'm the Wild Woman In Tree. Before that I was (still am) the 4th Beekeeper. And I've always ben Countess R (well, for nearly 3 years anyway) but I'm extremely bored with it because peeps ask me to EXPLAIN it. Why? Doesn't EVERYBODY know Child #68? Apparently not. Why?
Yes, I know every note on the CDs. When I see them live, I watch for variations and discuss them with anyone who'll listen. My neighbour is beginning to like 'Derry Gaol'. My cats are getting used to DADA tuning. I've decided to sing like Rachael McShane cos she's dead good. I have vague dreams of being in a duo with Giles Lewin but of course it will never happen cos Vivienne Ellis is just so, so good. What else? No, I don't have a B'head T-shirt. Far too bloody expensive ;-) And on the clothing front, it never previously occurred to me to think about Jon in tights (good grief, just as I typed this, 'Horn Fair' came on fRoots radio):

I believethat Spiers and Boden havealmighty and seductive powers. Here is how torecognise if you too have fallen under the spell. (some of these are fan girl related, sorrymalefans, but most will apply to you too)You own Through and Through, Bellow, E.P.onymous, Tunes and Songs. You own multiple copies of said albumsYou have played albums so much some copies are beginning to jumpYou have memorised the sleeve notes of said albums and can tell who wrote which bit (even tho it says so on T&T)You are constantly logged on to this message board. You visit the tour page every day to make sure you don't miss a gig near you.A five hour drive to see a S&B or a Bellowhead gig isn't
Hi
Good list!
Think i am getting there!
One to add - when JB talks about Child Morris you imagine it is him?!

Strange subject for a forum topic, though.

Honestly Fee, i'm not that scarey!! I didn't even know i had an obsessive nature until i saw Bellowhead for the 1st time. Now its done! Can't be helped, I am caught by Spiers and Boden, Hook, Line and Sinker, and I'll go out with a smile on my face!!
Huzzah!!
And prickleeyeshrub, pray come tell to me why you think it strange?
I was inspired by ALL the other obsessed personality tests on the net. I don't have a site of my own so i thought i'd post it here.
This was my inspiration:

Hello Salterelle,
I hope you are just referring to the fact that Child Morris is described as being dashing and tremendously attractive, and not to the fact that he gets his head cut off! I wouldn't want that to happen to Jon!! Although it would make him blessedly shorter!!

Hmmmm, well a bit but I wouldn't say obsessed, a healthy enthusiasm as a folk student. Been to a few parties, bought a few pints, attempted to hire a few of them for business projects, that sort of thing.

Hi
Yes indeed - he is very dashing and tremendously attractive. I certainly don't want to see him with his head cut off.
And I don't want him shorter either he is just right!
Cheers

ok I admit i was wrong about the blessedly shorter comment. Its just cause i feel like a midget whenever i meet him. But I wouldn't want him to be any different either.
He is perfect just the way he is. *sigh* aint love grand.

I am definitely on my way to obsessed (my best friend seems to think so anyway)
Read the one about ringtones and thought "good idea!" (although I already have "Frozen gin" in my phone and it sounds rubbish as a ringtone!)
Went to buy an accordion last month and was trying it out in the shop when the sales guy came over and commented he was impressed that I could play spiers (he pronounced it "spears") and boden already...worrying?
I also notice when they play something differently or mess the words up at gigs (still love 'em for it though!)

Sooo pleased to read this message. Thought I had got it bad! Stunned by Bellowhead in Frome April 24th...2 more Spiers & Boden gigs in May...just happened to be near Eliza Carthy @ Ratcatchers early June.
Feel easier now that I know others share the madness

Now now Nic! There's no need to be rude!
I'm sure they don't mind me going to SO MANY of their gigs, they are always pleasant and friendly, probably because i have actually started to feel as though i alone fund half of their tour dates! (i definately keep them in beer money!) I have already seen them six times this year and have tickets for another two and are planning at least one more so far! (phew!)
But they,re worth evey penny. Flash Company is now my official theme tune!

"You actually go and squeeze, squeezy at the next gig (I dare ya!) "
You dare me? You really dare me?
I saw them play for the first time last night, then saw Eliza Carthy play for the Oxjam festival in Leeds this afternoon. Best weekend ever!!
And even having only bought Tunes and Songs a week ago, I can recognise most of the stuff. Actually, most of the stuff they played in that set was from those 2 albums.
And as to Jon being all dashing and handsome and perfect...well, I rather agree. His 2 fiddles are rather nice as well, I got to have a go on them and his bow is awesome, shaped like a baroque bow but made of carbon fibre and apparently unbreakable!! He said one of the fiddles (the electro-acoustic one) is fairly new and Chinese made, the other is a gorgeous old one (lovely tone).
Me being me, I got them to tell everyone at the Grand Opening of the Music Room in Cleckheaton to come to Eliza's gig. I think out of all 200 people there, only one other person apart from me went to watch her.
And Eliza was awesome, she played with Saul Rose and she signed 2 of my albums afterwards.

I'm quite alarmed at how many of the things on the list I do! Not only do I have a Bellowhead t-shirt, but my seven-year-old son does, too (the small-medium is a great size for kids!) We make a proper racket listening to the cds, and now there's Burlesque to frighten the neighbours with, too- HURRAH! He refuses to beleive that Fire Marengo is nothing to do with meringes, though. Fire meringue-go! It's a nice image!!
